Why did VDA Telkonet choose to become ISO 14001 certified?
ISO 14001 certification stems from the desire to structure and measure an environmental commitment that has long been part of the way we operate. It is not a final destination, but a natural step in a growth journey that integrates sustainability, governance, and industrial responsibility.
What does ISO 14001 represent beyond formal certification?
It represents a true Environmental Management System that integrates with our existing Quality Management System. It enables us to consciously manage the environmental impacts of our activities, continuously improve environmental performance, and strengthen an internal culture of responsibility.
How does this standard reinforce the Group’s sustainability vision?
ISO 14001 is fully aligned with ESG principles, particularly the Environmental and Governance dimensions. It allows us to translate the Group’s strategic vision into concrete processes, measurable objectives, and verifiable actions over time.
What is the role of people in this journey?
People are at the center of the Environmental Management System. Certification requires awareness, training, and widespread engagement. Every function contributes to continuous improvement, making sustainability a shared value rather than an isolated initiative.
What value does it generate for clients and partners?
It provides assurance of reliability, transparency, and consistency. It demonstrates that VDA Telkonet adopts the same responsibility standards that it promotes through its technological solutions.
We offer our clients EMS platforms capable of reducing energy consumption through centralized HVAC and climate system management. We tell them we are ready to support their ongoing efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. Now, a third-party body has certified that this commitment is consistently embedded within our own organization.
What is the message for the future?
That sustainability is a concrete responsibility, to be built today through method, vision, and constant commitment.
